Jaipur, Nov 14: BJP's chief ministerial candidate in Rajasthan, Vasundhra Raje, today filed her nomination only from the Jhalrapatan Assembly constituency, backing out of a decision to contest from another constituency. Congress MP and Rajesh Pilot's widow, Rama Pilot has also filed her nomination from Jhalrapatan, where the Congress party's official candidate Mohan Lal filed his papers earlier.
Raje, along with party General Secretary Pramod Mahajan and Shahnawaj Hussain, flew by chopper to Pidawa raising speculation about contesting from a second constituency but only held a meeting with party workers who gathered there to welcome her, an official told a news agency on telephone. Yesterday the party announced that she would contest from Pidawa also. As she did not file her papers from Pidawa, the BJP's official candidate Kanhiya Lal Patidar filed his nomination against man singh chouhan of the congress party, an election officer of Pidawa said.
