Vadodara, Sept 19: A Pakistani fishermen's delegation would arrive in India next week to discuss the issue of releasing 93 Pakistani fishermen, lodged in Gujarat jails for over an year, even as 74 Indian fishermen released by Pakistan were expected to leave for Okha port in a couple of days. The Pakistani delegation, led by Mohammed Gazanfarali Butta, is scheduled to arrive in Mumbai on September 22 and reach Jamnagar or Okha on September 23, sources close to Veljibhai Masani, the leader of Indian fishermen's delegation to Pakistan, told news agencies here today quoting official sources.
Meanwhile, five of the 23 Indian boats anchored in Baluchistan in Pakistan, have left for Karachi port and are expected to reach there tomorrow, the sources said.
These five boats, along with remaining 18 boats anchored at Karachi port, are expected to leave for Okha port in Gujarat in next couple of days, they said adding, these boats would carry 74 Indian fishermen on board.
In all 42 out of these 74 fishermen have already been released from the Pakistani jails for repairing the Indian boats and making them sea worthy, the sources said and added the remaining 32 would be set free very soon.
Pakistani authorities had earlier this month released 269 fishermen, including 30 members of cargo ships, who were languishing in Pakistani jails for more than two years.
