New Delhi, June 06: A team of National Commission for Minorities, headed by chairman Tarlochan Singh, will visit Gujarat tomorrow to review the situation in the wake of the complaints received by it on the problems faced by the minority community in the state. "The commission has been approached by various members of the minority community regarding the problems faced by them. Therefore, we are going to Ahmedabad to assess the situation ourselves," Singh said, adding this was NCM's first visit to the state after the assembly elections last year.

During their two-day visit, the team is expected to meet representatives of both Christian and Muslim communities to get the information and understand the situation.

"After meeting the minority community representatives, the members are also expected to meet chief minister Narender Modi to apprise him of the feedback the commission receives," the NCM chairman said.
Besides the chairman, the team will comprise vice-chairman M S Usmani and members - Gen Sethna and V V Augustine (who is also a Christian's representative in NCM).
