New Delhi, June 08: Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has set a target of over 13 per cent growth in sales at Rs 5,000 crore from its engineering, construction and contracts business in this fiscal. "The company's Engineering Construction and Contracts (ECC) division is confident of clocking for the first time Rs 5,000 crore sales turnover by March, 2004," L&T's executive vice president, K V Rangaswami, said here on Sunday.
This turnover mark is a step towards achieving the Division's sales target of Rs 9,000 crore by 2006.
L&T's ECC division posted a turnover of around Rs 4,400 crore in 2002-03, as against Rs 3,300 crore in 2001-02.
Giving break-up of the expected shares from each segment within the ECC Division, he said the building and industrial projects would likely contribute Rs 1,300 crore in 2003-04.
Infrastructure projects including roads and water supply projects are likely to share another Rs 1,500 crore, while the Ready-Mix-Concrete (RMC) segment would share around Rs 200 crore.
