Srinagar, Aug 19: Former chief minister and president of Jammu and Kashmir Awami National Conference G M Shah has sought the permission of governments of India and Pakistan for the visit of an all party delegation to Pak-Occupied Kashmir to promote peace in the subcontinent.
In letters to the Prime Ministers of both the countries, copies of which were released to the press today, Shah said: "kindly peruse the attached resolution of ANC in which my party wants that a delegation of all the political parties of state and some state journalists should go to azad Kashmir and interact with their leaders about obtaining peace in the subcontinent and resolution of Kashmir dispute. "This is not possible without your blessings and goodwill, which I expect to get in abundance", the former chief minister said without mentioning the date for the proposed visit of the delegation.
