Ahmednagar, June 06: Anti-corruption crusader Anna
Hazare, against whom a defamation case has been filed by the
state food and civil supply minister Suresh Jain, today said
he would also file a case against the minister.
"We are fully prepared to face the legal battle launched
by Jain and I and the workers of anti-corruption campaign
will file defamation cases against Jain within a week", Hazare
told a news agency here.
"Jain has made charges not only against me but also
against the workers of anti-corruption movement. All these
workers, numbering twenty, will file cases at their respective
places", he said.
Last month, Hazare had levelled grave corruption charges
against four NCP ministers, including Jain, who had sent legal
notice challenging him to prove the allegations or face legal
action.
Yesterday Jain filed a defamation case in a Jalgaon
court against Hazare and is scheduled to filed another case on
June 11 in Mumbai.
Jain, who is also the guardian minister of Jalgaon, had claimed that he has received numerous complaints of corruption against Hazare and his activists.
Reacting to Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde's visit to Ralegan Siddhi, Hazare said there was hardly any scope for any meaningful dialogue over the corruption charges.
