Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 11: Kerala Chief Minister A K Antony today said that the government would again hold talks with all political parties on the issue of rehabilitation of Muslim families who had fled from Marad in Kozhikode district after the May 2 carnage that claimed nine lives. Replying to a submission of CPI-M member V K C Mammad Koya in the state assembly, Antony said informal talks with opposition parties were going on.

Steps would be taken soon for rehabilitation of the families, he said.

Police registered cases against those who had prevented the family of one Ummer from returning, he said.

Though police protection was given to them, the family had voluntarily left the place as the neighbours were not co-operating, the chief minister said.
