New Ham,July 07:West Ham manager Glenn Roeder said he is delighted to be back at work but needs to improve his fitness ahead of the forthcoming season.
The Hammers boss returned to work in time for pre-season training after a lengthy period of recuperation following an operation on a brain tumour. And after his first week back on the job Roeder is delighted with how he is feeling.
"I feel fine - laid back if you like," said Roeder. "In fact, since I returned it's been like I've never been away.
"Being back at work is like a normal situation to me, but I need to build up my fitness. I can't wait for the season to start. After what happened last season, I feel I've got some unfinished business to sort out," Roeder told reporters
