Mumbai: Hollywood diva Cate Blanchett will make her maiden trip to India next month for the prestigious World in the World summit, reveals actress Shabana Azmi. Blanchett will be in Delhi for the annual summit on November 20.
Azmi, who will co-host the session, took to Twitter to share the news with the fans. "Cate Blanchett coming to New Delhi on 20th Nov for Women in the world summit, hosted by Tina Brown. Nita Ambani, Barkha Dutt and I are co-hosts," she tweeted.
Women in the World summit was launched in 2010 by Brown, the British-born former editor in chief of Tatler, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Talk, Newsweek and The Daily Beast.
The summit brings together women leaders, activists and political change-makers from around the world to share their stories, and offer solutions to building a better life for women and girls.
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan attended the World in the World New York summit earlier this year. The 49-year-old "PK" star spoke on rape and masculinity at the coveted global event.
