Gandhinagar, Apr 20: Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani today cast his vote at Khanpur polling booth under Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency from where he is seeking
re-election.
He was accompanied by wife Kamla and daughter Pratibha.
A large number of party workers accompanied Advani to the polling booth located in a municipal school in Khanpur.
After casting his vote, the Deputy Prime Minister told reporters that even if BJP gets majority it will form a coalition NDA government after the Lok Sabha polls.
"We have repeatedly affirmed even if BJP get majority it will be coalition government that will be formed at the Centre."
He said his party has already sought a decisive mandate but it has nothing to do with the number of political parties.
Describing the Lok Sabha as "important" for India to become a developed nation, he said the BJP-led coalition has done "immense" groundwork and put the nation on a "take-off" stage.
His wife Kamala also exercised her franchise.
