ASI seeks three more months for excavation
Lucknow, July 01: The Archaelogical Survey of India team, undertaking excavation work at the disputed site in Ayodhya, today sought a further time of three months to complete the work.

An application seeking extension was moved by the ASI before the special/full Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court.
Moving the application, the ASI team pleaded for further extension, saying the work of excavation was not yet complete.
It prayed for a further time of three months to complete the excavation work and submission of final report.
As there were some technical defects in the ASI`s application, the court directed it to rephrase its application and file the same later. The special bench, comprising Justice Sudhir Narain, Justice S R Alam and Justice Bhanwar Singh, directed the ASI team leader Hari Majhi, the representative of the Tojo Vikas international and the commissioner of Faizabad to appear before the court tomorrow.
