Udaipur, Sept 07: Claiming there were no differences within its Rajasthan unit, BJP today said that its prospects in the coming assembly polls would not be affected by the fall of the party's coalition government in Uttar Praesh. "Rajasthan has traditionally seen a straight fight between BJP and Congress and our severing ties with BSP (in Uttar Pradesh) will not affect poll prospects here," state unit BJP chief Vasundhara Raje Scindia, who is here to attend a party rally, told accompanying reporters.

The "Mayawati factor" in fact would hurt congress more, she claimed.

On dissidence within the party unit, Scindia claimed "the differences exist no more".
State unit leader Devi Singh Bhati, who demanded reservation for economically backward among the upper castes, was expelled from the party for "indiscipline and remarks against Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee", she said.
