Jaipur, Nov 01: The Chief Election Commission has appointed 131 observers for the December 1 assembly polls in Rajasthan. The Chief Electoral Officer, Lalit Kothari, said generally one observer was being appointed per two assembly constituencies but this time some more were sanctioned.

The observers will work in collaboration with returning officer in the allotted constituencies, Kothari said in a statement issued here.

Kothari has told all the district electoral officers that the polling would be done through electronic voting machines in the whole of the state.

For this intensive training would be provided to the presiding officers and the first polling officers.
