Kathmandu, June 04: Nepalese security forces shot dead a suspected Maoist rebel in Khimbi Hydro Power project in Rame Chhap district, Army sources said today. The incident occurred yesterday when a group of suspected Maoists opened fire at a regular patrolling team in the area, they said. After the Army retaliated all the Maoists ran away except a man, who sustained bullet injury in his stomach. He was airlifted to Kathmandu and admitted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, the sources said.

A woman militant was captured from the site and handed over to the local administration.
