Florida, Dec 08: According to information received here, Mathias Gronberg jumped to sole lead at 14-under 274 on day-four of the six-day final qualifying stage of the US PGA tour. Gronberg shot a 71 yesterday.
India-born Swede Daniel Chopra, overnight joint leader, shot a 75 to slip to sixth spot at ten-under 278.
The top-30 golfers in the final stage qualifiers would earn a direct entry into the US PGA tour, while the remaining, earn full exemption or conditional entry into the nationwide tour.
Meanwhile, Daniel Chopra, who had a joint lead overnight, shot a 75 to slip to sixth spot at ten-under 278.
Chopra for the second time in four days relinquished his lead courtesy some erratic golf. Yesterday, the Swede struggled to find most fairways as can be deciphered from a driving accuracy percentage of 23. His putting too left much to be desired at a figure of 31.

However, despite double bogeys on the fourth and 16th, Chopra managed to finish with a reasonable card of three-over 75. His round contained birdies on the second, tenth and 14th and bogeys on the ninth and 15th.

The leader Mathias Gronberg had a simple round with a lone birdie on the 12th amidst a sea of pars, for a fourth round 71.
