Kathmandu, Aug 10: Relics of Lord Buddha, on a travelling worldwide exhibition, have been put on display at a Buddha Vihar near here. Brought from Thailand, the relics were put on display at Bhaktapur municipality, near here, yesterday. The relics, which have been exhibited in various countries, including Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand, will be on display till tomorrow, the Rising Nepal reported. The aim of the exhibition is to take the message of world peace, brotherhood and goodwill, said Bhikshu Bipasky, secretary at the Thailand Sangharaj Secretariat. After display in different parts of the world, the relics will be taken to the United Nations where they will rest permanently at the UN memorial of Buddha Chaitya.
