Raipur, Nov 11: The Chhattisgarh Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Vidhan Mishra who has been denied a Congress ticket for the December 01 assembly polls in the
state today demanded imposition of President's rule for free and fair elections in the state.
"I totally agreed with the Chief Election Commissioner, J M Lyngdoh that the situation here is worst then Gujarat and free and fair poll is not possible, Mishra told reporters here.
Again since a section of the bureaucracy is biased and working at the behest of the Chief Minister Ajit Jogi as part of a strategy, I demand imposition of President's rule for a free and fair poll," the minister said. He said that he will be writing to the prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Lyngdoh to tell them about the ground realities in Chhattisgarh.
