London, Dec 08: John McEnroe beat Guy Forget to win the Honda Challenge seniors' tennis tournament for the fourth time.
The 44-year old U.S. player defeated France's Forget, aged 38, in two sets after winning a champions tie-break for the first set.
Forget had been disconcerted in the opening game when a ball that appeared well over the line was ruled in. But he recovered and clawed back the points to level the score at five games all. McEnroe then lost three straight points but steeled himself and took them back for deuce. He then took another two points to win the game as Forget's return went wild. Forget then came back to level the score again at 6-6 but McEnroe disposed of the Frenchman in the tie-break (7-3) to take the first set.
