Vadodara, June 11: A bakery owner of the city today said he had identified seven charred bodies in the Best Bakery fire in the communal clashes on March 1 last year in the aftermath of the Godhra train carnage.

Deposing before H U Mahida, additional district and sessions judge of the Fast Track Court, Abdul said he went to the hospital and identified seven bodies including three girls.
Twelve persons were burnt alive when a frenzied mob set fire to the bakery in the wake of Gujarat bandh called by VHP on March 1.
Three policemen also deposed before the court, stating that they rushed to the bakery on hearing about the incident. And left the spot after having brought the situation under control.
