No drop in cross border infiltration: Fernandes
Dehradun, June 14: Defence Minister George Fernandes has welcomed Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf`s statement that he was willing to lead talks with India.
Dehradun, June 14: Defence Minister George Fernandes has welcomed Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf`s statement that he was willing to lead talks with India.
Fernandes said, "This is a positive development."
Fernandes however maintained that there was no change in India`s stand that Pakistan must stop cross-border terrorism before resumption of any talks between the two countries. "There is no change in our stand that Pakistan must end cross-border terrorism before resumption of the dialogue process," Fernandes stated. Musharraf in an interview had said he would be "more than happy" to meet Vajpayee if the latter was willing to meet him. Bureau Report
