Srinagar, Aug 20: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed in his inaugural call to Prime Minister Vajpayee introduced the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) mobile service in the state. In view of the heavy rush for mobile phone connections in Jammu and Kashmir, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, which has already distributed 34,000 application forms in the last two days in Jammu and Srinagar, has kept another 35,000 ready to meet the increasing demand, a BSNL official said today.

Of the 34,000 forms distributed, 25,000 were given away from the five counters in Jammu and the rest from the lone counter in Srinagar, BSNL general manager R K Koul told a news agency. He said 25,000 more forms had been kept for Jammu and 10,000 for Srinagar for distribution till the last day of booking on August 25.
