Arpita Khan is reported to be an adopted daughter of Salim Khan. There are different stories which float around her adoption. It is believed that Salim and Salma Khan saw Arpita, when her mother died after giving birth to her in Mumbai. Other reports also suggest that Helen had got her home after she found her crying on a footpath.

Not many know that the 25-year old bride happens to be a fashion graduate from the very prestigious London College Of Fashion. She has a degree in fashion marketing and management. The younger 'behen' of the 'Khandaan' presently works in Mumbai for a plush interior designing firm, hoping to launch her own fashion label some day.

Arpita reportedly in younger days was dating none other than 'Gunday' actor Arjun Kapoor. It is believed that while the actor weighed 140 kgs, it was Sallu bhai who helped him get into shape and lose all that flab.

The newly-wed always wished to get a princess like wedding. She had once expressed her wish to Salman bhai, who actually made it come true, reports suggest. Arpita got married at the Royal Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. The entire wedding ceremony took place in a typical fairytale style.

Arpita's hubby hails from New Delhi, where he has a family business running. However, it has been reported that the groom is all comfortable with moving his base to Mumbai, where Sallu bhai has gifted a lavish house to the couple as a gift.
