New Delhi, July 03: Petroleum Minister Ram Naik will give away the National Petroleum Management Programme Awards of excellence today. The awards are given annually to oil personnel excelling in various management streams viz Human Resources management, financial management, project management, creativity and innovation, women development and information technology, a press release said here. They are based on evaluation by teams of eminent experts, drawn from academicians, industry professionals and management consultants. The awards are open to member organisation of NPMP which include Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Oil India Ltd, Gail, Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, IBP, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Numaligarh Refineries Ltd, Bongaigoan Refinery, Engineers India Ltd as also organisations like Directorate General of Hydrocarbonds, Oil Industry Safety Directorate, Petroleum Conservation Research Association and Centre of high technology. The NPMP awards were instituted in 1997-98 to identify, recognise and promote excellence among the enterprises of the petroleum sector, the release added.
