Indore, Apr 24: A local court today reserved its order for April 26 on the complaint against actor and BJP candidate from Bikaner, Dharmendra for allegedly violating Hindu Marriage Act and Islamic Shariyat by hiding in his nomination papers information about "change in name and religion" for his marriage with Hema Malini. First class judicial magistrate Narendra Jain reserved his order on the matter for April 26, Dharmendra's advocate Shailendra Dwivedi told reporters here. The complainants -- Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee's minority cell vice chairman Akhtar Beg and Indore city Congress vice president K K Mishra -- had earlier submitted `Nikahnama' of Dharmendra's marriage as also interviews and news reports carried in leading publications as evidence in the case. The Congress leaders have alleged that Dharmendra had married Hema Malini by embracing Islam, but without divorcing his first wife as per the Hindu Marriage Act and therefore, his nomination be cancelled as he has not given correct information in the nomination papers about his marriage with the actress. The complainants also demanded for the termination of the membership of Hema Malini from Rajya Sabha on the ground of her alleged illegal marriage with Dharmendra. Bureau Report
