China told Arunachal is part of India: Sinha
New Delhi, Aug 14: India has `consistently and categorically` conveyed to China that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India, External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha told the Rajya Sabha today.

Sinha told the Rajya Sabha today.
Sinha replied in the affirmative when asked whether Chinese government had refused to recognise Arunachal Pradesh as part of India.
He said the resolution of the boundary question between India and China was outstanding.
China illegally claims approximately 90,000 sq km of Indian territory in the eastern sector of the India-China boundary in Arunachal Pradesh, he said in a written reply.
Diplomatic missions: altogether 27 Indian diplomatic missions abroad have retained funds in excess of the prescribed requirement of six weeks, Minister of State for External Affairs Digvijay Singh said in a written reply.

Minimum wages: the Centre has issued guidelines to states for setting up regional minimum wages advisory committees to minimise the disparity in minimum wages in various regions of the country, Labour Minister Sahib Singh Verma said.
Task force: the Planning Commission has set up a task force on formulation of state level employment strategy to achieve the target five crore jobs during the 10th plan, Verma said.
ESI: ESI Corporation plans to modernise its hospitals throughout the country for which it has provided Rs.55 crore in the 2003-04 budget, Verma said.
