Washington, June 08: Francis Vaz, the popular political minister in India`s embassy in the US passed away, the embassy sources said.
Washington, June 08: Francis Vaz, the popular political minister in India's embassy in the US passed away, the embassy sources said.
He had been ill for some time but had recovered. Recently his illness recurred.
"The Embassy of India announces with profound sorrow, the passing away today of Francis Vaz, minister political in the embassy," a release from the embassy said.
Vaz, known for his courtesy and gentleness towards all who met him, had a tenure marked by quiet efficiency.
