New Delhi, Mar 06: Opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh are considering approaching the judiciary on the manner in which a No-Confidence Motion against BSP-led Mayawati government was adopted in the state assembly "without following procedures". "We are considering approaching court on the manner in which the whole matter was handled without following the procedures", state CLP leader Pramod Tiwari, who arrived here today to consult party leaders and lawyers on the matter told reporters here.
The Opposition has four options in this situation and approaching court was one of them, he said.
The other three options are approaching the assembly Speaker Kesari Nath Tripathi, seeking governor's intervention to reconvene the assembly and approaching political parties to raise it in Parliament.
"We have already met the Speaker and the Governor seeking reconvening of the assembly. Parliament too has discussed it today. Now we are considering to approach judiciary", he said adding that the Opposition might also meet President A P J Abdul Kalam.
