New Delhi, July 12: A three-member CBI team today reached Dehradun to make preliminary enquiry in the "unwed mother episode" which led to resignation of state revenue minister Harak Singh Rawat following allegations that he fathered a child of an unmarried woman.
"The team would make some enquiries," CBI sources said adding that no complaint has yet been lodged with the police in this connection.
Uttaranchal chief minister N D Tiwari had last month said that he would request CBI to probe the case "so that the truth comes out." Rawat is alleged to have links with Jaini, an unmarried woman, who gave birth to a child in the first week of June.
