New Delhi, Mar 29: With a view to ensure that no demolitions were carried out in the capital before relocation arrangements were made, Delhi government today said orders to this effect would be issued soon. "Delhi government will ensure that nobody in the capital was rendered homeless as a result of demolition and razing exercises carried out by civic agencies," Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said at the valedictory session of the three-day workshop organised under bhagidari. "Any demolition exercise will have to be preceded by a clear relocation and rehabilitation plan," Dikshit said. She said the sub-divisional magistrates have been instructed to go on weekly rounds of their areas to establish an interface with the citizens regarding their problems and providing immediate solutions to them. Dikshit also informed that around 100 applications have been received for setting up of "paani panchayat" and added the same will be set up immediately out of the earmarked MLA funds.
