Paramhans shifted to Ayodhya, condition continues to be critical
Lucknow, July 29: Ailing president of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust Mahant Ramchandra Paramhans, who continues to be in `critical` condition, was shifted back to Ayodhya today in keeping with his wishes.

Accompanied by a team of doctors, the Mahant, who was admitted to the Sanjay Gandhi PGI Hospital here, left for Ayodhya this evening, Hosptial sources said.
His condition was still critical and portable ventilators have been provided in the ambulance that has taken him to the temple town, they said. The Mahant had expressed his desire to be shifted to his Digambar Akhara in Ayodhya, the sources said, adding the doctors at the PGI advised against his shifting and the Mahant left for Ayodhya at his own risk.
The Mahant, who was admitted in the ICU on Saturday last and later operated upon for removal of stones in gall baldder, is suffering from cancer, the sources said.
He was admitted to the PGI for the third time after he suffered a heart attack at his ashram in Ayodhay in June.
