RSS threatens mass movement for Ram temple legislation

Bangalore, Sept 01: Attacking the Muslim leadership for rejecting the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) report on Ayodhya excavations, RSS today threatened to launch a
"massive" movement to force political parties to bring a legislation to build Ram temple.
"It was either a negotiated route or legislation. Now the
negotiated route is closed (by the Muslim leadership). The
option is a legislation or a movement for legislation," RSS
spokesman Ram Madhav told reporters here.
Claiming that the ASI report vindicated their position about existence of a temple before the mosque was built, he said political parties should now state their position and initiate the process to bring a legislation to facilitate construction of Ram temple.
"If all options are closed, a movement to force our parties to take up legislation will be the only option," he said, as he slammed the Babri Masjid Action Committee and the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, for rejecting the ASI report and for saying they would not negotiate.
"Our RSS position is that their earlier talk about negotiations was only a sham and they were only interested in prolonging the "conflict".
