New Delhi, Mar 29: Centre's interlocutor on Kashmir N N Vohra today met Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani amid reports that he would soon leave for the Valley to hold talks with groups there. "It was a routine meeting," Vohra told reporters after the 40-minute meeting. The meeting comes close on the heels of reports that Vohra would soon be leaving for Kashmir Valley to hold talks with some of the political organisations in the state.
To a question whether he would be holding any talks with separatists, Vohra said, "I cannot say anything about it but I will be surely meeting some Kashmiri pandit groups soon."
Vohra ducked all questions about whether the recent killing of 24 Kashmiri pandits had put his mission on the backburner. The sources in the home ministry said that Vohra would be leaving for Kashmir next month and would be doing some "spade work" before the visit of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee scheduled for April 18.
The sources said the meeting also comes in the wake of reports that the Centre plans to play a "greater role" in the security of Jammu and Kashmir. Bureau Report
