Dhanbad (Bihar), Sept 29: The Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee said today that her party and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha will collaborate in Jharkhand and have seat adjustments in future elections.
Addressing a large rally here, Mamata dared her political foes to prevent the two parties to work together. She said that the JMM chief Sibu Soren's contribution in creating Jharkhand was by any yardstick substantial and yet he was deprived of his rightful place by the corrupt Jharkhand government.
As the railway minister she had taken care of Jharkhand by providing a new Rajdhani train, she reminded the gathering and regretted that the new state's potential for growth was being eaten away by all-pervasive corruption. She wondered why the NDA to whom her party had extended support turned down her proposal to create new railway zones in Ranchi and Dhanbad.
From Dhanbad to Hajipur it took eight hours while from Dhanbad to Kolkata it took just four hours to travel, she pointed out wondering if Hajipur was then chosen as the site for a new railway zone, why not Ranchi, the Jharkhand's state capital.
