New Delhi, June 07: VHP and Congress today presented dissenting formulae to resolve the problems with Pakistan but agreed that it was "not impossible" to have cordial relations with the neighbour. Participating in a panel discussion on the issue, VHP international vice president Acharya Giriraj Kishore said that problems with Pakistan could be solved by making India "powerful" while Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar favoured "uninterrupted dialogue" to achieve the goal.

"No efforts of dialogue are going to bear fruits and they should be stopped immediately," Kishore said at a discussion on 'India Pakistan relations in the changing world scenario' here.
Pointing out that there was a "difference of ideologies" between the two countries, he said, "considering the present situation, the only solution to the problem is that India should try to become stronger so that Pakistan would have to join hands with it."

"Uninterrupted dialogue process is the only way of improving relations. This dialogue process should not be at the level but at the diplomatic level," said Aiyar.

He said that Pakistan always fears that it would lose its identity if it joins hand with India and it was essential on the part of the our country to assure them that it was not the case.
