Chandigarh, Oct 17: Girls had also formed part of musical troupes of Daler Mehndi and his brother Shamsher who have been accused of human trafficking. Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala, Paramraj Singh told a news agency on phone that police had got some details about girls forming part of the musical troupes of mehndi's which went abroad. The details are being collected on the basis of information gathered from the documents recovered and interrogation of Shamsher, he said. The SSP said it was not yet known as to how many people had been taken abroad and left there as also the total money involved as the investigations were still on.


He said some more documents and a computer seized from Daler's rented flat in Mumbai were being examined.

Some documents had also been seized from a flat of Daler's associate Rockey in Mumbai, Singh said.

Seven passports, including of six boys from Gurdaspur who had lodged complaints after Shamsher's arrest, had also been seized from the Delhi premises of Daler Mehndi, the SSP said.


A case of cheating was registered on October six after Shamsher was arrested for allegedly having received Rs 13 lakh of the Rs 15 lakh he had sought to take the complainant Bakshish Singh in a troupe which was not done.
