New Delhi, July 21: Chief of Pakistan's hardline Jamiat-Ulema Islam Fazul-ur Rahman today said efforts should be made to resolve all issues concerning New Delhi and Islamabad through talks. Rahman, who met Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav here this morning, said government and political parties in Pakistan favoured a negotiated settlement.
He said his delegation was here to explore peace and he was happy to note the response and warmth of the people.
Rahman said he would carry the message of "peace and friendship" back home.
Yadav said people of India have always favoured resolution of all issues through talks.
Welcoming the visit of Rahman, the Samajwadi Party leader said this would encourage more people-to-people contact between the two countries.
