Mortal remains of Vajpayee`s sister consigned to flames
New Delhi, May 09: The mortal remains of Urmila Mishra, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee`s sister, were consigned to flames at Laxmi Ganj crematorium in her hometown Gwalior tonight.

Earlier, her body was brought in a procession from her Sindhi
Colony residence.
Urmila's husband, P M Mishra lit the funeral pyre in the presence of a large number of mourners, including Vajpayee who came here with his sister's body this evening.
Urmila breathed her last at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here this morning. She was 72. She was suffering from cancer and had been brought here from Gwalior by Vajpayee on April 28 for further treatment.
She is survived by her husband, two daughters and three sons including Anup Mishra, BJP MLA in Madhya Pradesh.
