Bucharest, Aug 16: A minor earthquake shook eastern Romania today, but there were no reports of injuries or damage, the institution for earth physics said.
The quake, which had a preliminary magnitude of 3.9, occurred at 0800 GMT. It had its epicenter in the county of Vrancea on the eastern rim of the Carpathian mountains, northeast of Bucharest.
It was not felt in the capital, the institute said in a statement.
