Bihar CID begins probe into theft
Darbhanga, Dec 04: Bihar Police today began investigations into the theft of rare manuscripts of `Shrimad Bhagwat Gita` and `Geetgovinda` from Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University (KDSU) libarary on November 29.

An expert team of CID of state police has already started
investigations into the theft which took place on November 29,
official sources said.
A massive search operation was on to arrest the culprits and retrieve the stolen manuscripts following the filing of an FIR with the university police station.
The stolen manuscripts include three volumes of 'Shrimad Bhagwat Gita' written by renowned poet Vidyapati, 'Tatwachintamani' inscribed on palm leaves dating back to the 12th century, 'Geetgovinda', a pictorial script written by Jaidev, 'Sachitra Valmiki Ramayan' and 'Pushkari Patran', handwritten by Maheshwar Thakur, an ancestor of the late maharaja of Darbhang Kameshwar Singh.
