Ace shooter Surendra Mohan Marvah died of cardiac arrest in Dehradun on Wednesday evening, police said.
Marvah's body was recovered from a car he was driving while returning home from a shooting event at the IMA, they said.
Marvah, 50, is survived by his wife and a son. He participated in various international events and won several medals including a bronze in centre fire pistol event at the Hiroshima Asiad.
He was also member of the Indian team that won gold medal in Auckland Commonwealth Games. After voluntary retirement as deputy commandant from BSF, Marvah had devoted himself to the game. Bureau Report
