London, Sept 28: Liverpool travel to Charlton today hoping Michael Owen's current scoring form can help them extend a run of three successive premiership victories.
The England striker has scored six goals in his last four games and has been instrumental in helping Liverpool climb towards the top of the table after a sluggish start to the season.
Midfielder Danny Murphy will miss the trip to London after he picked up a leg injury in the reds 1-1 draw at Olimpija Ljubljana in midweek.
Senegalese international El Hadji Diouf will return to Gerard Houllier's side after suspension with defender Stephane Henchoz pushing for a comeback after his calf problems.
The Reds will also be strengthened by a return to the starting line-up of midfielder Steven Gerrard, who has recovered from a knee injury.

Gerrard had been due to sit out the match in Slovenia in midweek but Murphy's injury meant he was called into action after only 15 minutes of the match.

The England international may be in need of a rest but Houllier regards him as too important to leave out of the side against Charlton.

"He plays in a sitting role in front of the back four," Houllier said. "It is an important role because he has to protect the defence and start moves. It's a tough and demanding job.

"If you look at all of the big teams then their defensive midfielder is the vital element.”
