Vadodara, Nov 08: Stressing enhanced cooperation between India and the United States, US charge D'affaires Robert Blake said, "There is much scope for enlarging people to people contact". Addressing a meeting of deans of various faculties of M S University here yesterday, Blake advocated increased cooperation in the educational field.

Lauding the efforts of Indian academics and professionals, Blake stated "They have made great contribution in the development of United States". "Steps should be taken to encourage creative thinking and mutual exchange of views by visits by learned speakers of both countries and through seminars", Blake told the meeting.

He also a lauded India's efforts at promoting a system of higher education.

University vice chancellor C Upadhyay briefed the gathering and Blake about various projects being carried out in India with US assistance. Bureau Report
