Jammu, Aug 16: Pakistani troops resorted to shelling in Balakote area of Poonch district last night injuring a security personnel, official sources said here today. Troops from across the border targeted Indian forward defence locations with mortar bombs and heavy machinegun firing from 1700 to 1800 hours yesterday forcing Indian troops to retaliate, the sources said. One jawan of Engineering Regiment was injured in the shelling along the Line of Control, they said. Intermittent firing between two sides along the International Border was also reported at Pindi, Jabowal and Budhwar in Arnia sector; Chanayal, Nararanpur and Futwal in Ramgarh sector and Banglad and Ramakund in Suchatgarh sector since yesterday. However, there was no loss of life or damage on Indian side, the sources added.
