Los Angeles, Aug 02: "Terminator" movie star
Arnold Schwarzenegger will on August 6 reveal his
long-awaited decision as to whether he will enter the battle
to become Governor of California, aides said today.
Sources close to the Austrian-born actor said however
that he was leaning against running for the most popular US
state's top job after weeks of "will he or won't he"
speculation.
The much-anticipated announcement on Wednesday is
expected to cap Hollywood's biggest cliffhanger which has
sparked frantic guessing over the republican's on-again,
off-again political aspirations.
"Arnold Schwarzenegger will make a statement
concerning his decision whether to run in the California
recall election on Wednesday, August 6," said the
Republican's campaign advisor Sean Walsh.
"Schwarzenegger's announcement will be followed with an appearance on 'the Tonight Show With Jay Leno' (a popular US evening television show) where he will elaborate on his decision," Walsh said. The advisor told a news agency earlier that Schwarzenegger had not made up his mind over whether to become the second film star after ex-president Ronald Reagan to vie for the state's top job and was still weighing his options.
