Bhubaneswar, June 13: Daya Patra, an accused in the Graham Staines murder case, today disengaged his counsels while urging the trial court to provide him a government lawyer. After he submitted an application seeking disengagement of his lawyer, the district and sessions judge, Khurda, M N Patnaik appointed Rabi Patnaik, a government lawyer, as the counsel for the accused. Patra, while making his statement in the court, had admitted that Dara Singh, the main accused in the case attacked the vehicle in which the Australian missionary and his two minor sons were asleep and set it on fire in his presence.
