New Delhi, Aug 03: BJP today echoed Prime Minister Vajpayee's words saying it had made its stand clear in Parliament regarding the Ayodhya issue that it could be resolved through court or discussions between Hindus and Muslims. "We have already made our stand clear regarding the Ayodhya issue. The issue can only be resolved through court or discussions between Hindus and Muslims," BJP general secretary Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told reporters here on sidelines of the 'workers conference' of Delhi BJP unit.
When told that opposition would be raking up the issue tomorrow in Parliament, Naqvi said, "They (opposition) can do what they want to...As far as we are concerned, our position is clear." Echoing Naqvi's view, Union Minister for Textiles Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that the opposition had misinterpreted the Prime Minister's statement on Ayodhya. Bureau Report
