NSG commando continues to battle for life
Ahmedabad, Oct 27: The condition of 23-year-old National Security Guard (NSG) commando, Surjan Singh Bhandari, injured in the gun battle at Akshardham temple last month, continues to be critical, hospital sources said.

National Security Guard (NSG) commando, Surjan Singh Bhandari, injured in the gun battle at Akshardham temple last month, continues to be critical, hospital sources said.
Though four operations by neuro-surgeons of the civil
hospital, Mumbai and army medical corps-Pune have been
performed on Bhandari, there is no improvement in his
condition, the sources said.
The bullet, which hit the commando in the head, seriously injuring him, was still to be removed and doctors are not taking any chance until he gains consciousness, the civil hospital sources said. The commando, who had been undergoing treatment since September 25, went into coma on October 16 and since then has been battling for life, sources added. Bureau Report
