Know what Salman Khan tweeted after Rajasthan High Court acquitted him in two black buck poaching cases
Salman, who must apparently be a happy man now that he has been pronounced not guilty, took to Twitter Monday night to thank his supporters for their love and prayers.
Mumbai: The Rajasthan High Court on Monday acquitted Salman Khan in two 18-year-old black buck poaching cases. The court’s verdict was hailed by his fans and family but many took to social media to express dissent over his acquittal.
Nonetheless, Salman, who must apparently be a happy man now that he has been pronounced not guilty, took to Twitter Monday night to thank his supporters for their love and prayers.
He tweeted:
Two separate cases had been registered against Khan under section 51 of Wildlife Protection Act for poaching of two chinkaras in village Bhawad on 26-27 September, 1998 and one chinkara in Mathania (Ghoda Farm) on 28-29 September, 1998.
The trial court (CJM) had convicted him in both the cases sentencing him to one year and 5 year imprisonment on February 17, 2006 and April 10, 2006 respectively.
But now that the Rajasthan High Court has given its verdict, cases against the Bollywood superstar have been dropped.
