Mufti meets Advani, Sonia
New Delhi, July 14: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today met Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and Congress president Sonia Gandhi here today.
New Delhi, July 14: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today met Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani and Congress president Sonia Gandhi here today.
The meeting with Advani lasted for about 45 minutes and Sayeed refused to speak to the media after the meeting.
During his meeting with the Congress president, Sayeed sought early action on the promise that the states ruled by the party would help promote tourism in his state and give special reservation in technical institutions to its students. The implementation of common minimum programme governing the coalition government in the state also came up for discussion during the meeting, he said.
The two leaders expressed satisfaction over functioning of the alliance government, they decided to work for consolidation of gains of the last assembly elections. Bureau Report
