UP, Jharkhand bags two mega power projects each
New Delhi, June 21: The government has said four mega power projects have been identified for implementation in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Both states bagged two projects each, an official release said.
New Delhi, June 21: The government has said four mega power projects have been identified for implementation in Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand. Both states bagged two projects each, an official release said.
The projects are - Auraiya expansion (1300 MW), Anpara 'C' (1000 MW) in UP, North Karanpur Super Thermal Project (2000 MW) and Maithon (1000 MW) in Jharkhand.
The project at Auraiya will be set up by National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) while Anpara 'C' will be done by UP Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd.
NTPC will execute the STP project at North Karanpura and Maithon project will be set up by Damodar Valley Corporation as a joint venture.
